About Us…
Christ The King is pleased to announce the appointment of The Reverend Cathey Dowdle as our new Priest-In-Charge as of August 12, 2007.
The Rev. Cathey joined Christ The King as an intern in January of 2007. She served our community
as a transitional deacon until her ordination as a priest on the Feast of Columba, Abbot of Iona--
June 9, 2007. Her ordination was a celebration that will be long remembered!
Although The Rev. Cathey felt called to the priesthood as a teenager, it wasn't until the late 1990's that she was able to fully live her chosen vocation. She attended the Episcopal Theological School at Claremont and the Claremont School of Theology part-time over a six-year period as a commuter student while working full-time as a Senior Account Manager at Miro Technologies (a niche software firm based in La Jolla, CA). Currently, she continues to maintain her employment with Miro Technologies, while serving her congregation's needs.
The Rev. Cathey has been married for 29 years to husband Tim and has a pet rabbit named Tessa. Outside of church, she enjoys time spent with family and friends, reading, and doing jigsaw puzzles.
